With the same hands which serve the Portland elite, Jess Lobo serves the most vulnerable and neglected among us. As both an act of civil disobedience and compassion, she believes that this is her micro assault against systemic oppression rooted in capitalism and greed.
ESOL CONVERSATIONAL PARTNER AND ASL TUTOR

As a volunteer ESOL conversational partner and ASL tutor, Jess Lobo brings an awareness of acculturation, cultural homogenization and reflexivity. Both programs encourage a safe space for learning rooted in pluralism as well as academic rigor.
